Nutritional and Dietary Benefits
Nutrition support for healthy aging
As we get older, our bodies and our nutritional needs change. Capital Blue Cross nutrition counseling services are designed to help you stay independent, and manage health conditions through simple, healthy eating habits.
These services are provided online by a registered dietitian who takes the time to understand your health concerns, medications, and lifestyle.
How nutrition counseling can help you:
- Learn what to eat to support heart health, energy, and strength
- Manage weight in a safe and realistic way
- Improve blood sugar levels and support diabetes management
- Help lower blood pressure and cholesterol through diet
- Find enjoyable foods that fit your health needs and preferences
- Address changes in appetite
- Improve mood, digestion, and overall, well being
- Reduce the risk of chronic conditions such as heart disease
Our goal is to help you feel better day to day, keep doing the things you enjoy, and support long term health.
